Chris has shared the complete series of assessments that belong to the Delaware KAP (Kindergarten Assessment of Progress) test, all written to the Common Core State Standards. After using 3 years of data to perform a complete item analysis on each question, the state of Delaware approved the KAP as a Level B Alternate Assessment for their DPAS II Teacher Evaluation Program. Chris serves on numerous state committees, generating change to better the education of DE Kindergarten and pre-school children. She has also presented the use of ESGI to perform the KAP assessment at the annual Delaware Kindergarten Conference. Chris has 35 years in education with special and regular education certification. She has done everything from being a teacher of Pre-K through 3, director of a large daycare/preschool facility, and creator and director of both a mentor program and an after-school program for junior and senior high students. She earned her BS from Beaver College (now Arcadia University), M.Ed. Eq. from PA, and M.Ed. in Early Childhood Literacy from Wilkes University. She has received numerous awards, including the Caron Foundation’s Unsung Hero Award for her work with youth.
